Stages of Leadership – The Gift of Influence
Stage Three of Four
Excellent leaders seem to have a natural ability to receive automatic buy-in from others. This gift of “influence” is often a combination of integrity plus charisma. When trust and admiration are in place, it is natural for others to want to follow a person or business. This is a natural form of branding.
Successful leaders have the skill of “influence” and use it in helpful ways to build winning departments, divisions, companies, and even communities. Influential leaders have buy-in from key players without demonstrative and demanding tactics. People simply want to follow them. In addition to easily building a following, leaders who exhibit great influence attract people who can help them build the team, product, service, or community that they have envisioned.
Building and maintaining a positive “influence” is an important success habit for the C- Level of Leadership.
