Focus For Success
We all know that multiple situations come across our desks and our minds daily. Focus is a critical element of leadership.
I just read a great paper by Dan Coughlin. He calls this process the 1-3-6 Process for Focusing Efforts.
The 1-3-6 Process for Focusing Efforts:
1. What is the one most important outcome we want to improve in our organization in the next six months?
2. What three things can I do that would have the greatest positive impact on improving that outcome?
3. What six things do I need to stop doing or spend a lot less time doing so I have the time and the energy to do the three things I know would have the greatest positive impact on improving that outcome.
Wow! Good advice and worth following
