Do You Have a “Plan B”?
Last month I had another birthday (Thank Goodness!) I have held on to a few of the most special birthday cards, but one- in particular- resonated for me. (Thank you, Kathey!)
The card is printed by Blue Mountain Arts and is part of the “Wonderful Wacky Women” trademark series by Suzy and Al Toronto. Here is the poem, by Suzy Toronto, which was included on the inside of the birthday card:
Plan B
Plan A is always my first choice.
You know, the one where
Everything works out to be
Happily ever after. But more often than not,
I find myself dealing with
The upside-down,
Inside-out version
Where nothing goes as it should. It’s at this point that the real test
Of my character comes in…
Do I sink or do I swim?
Do I wallow in self-pity
And play the victim
Or simply shift gears
And make the best of the situation?
The choice is mine. After all…
Life is all about
How you handle Plan B.…Suzy Toronto
Kathey signed the card… “to the most bendable friend I have.” Wow! Thank you again, Kathey! I am living through Plan B and not getting “bent out of shape.”
Do you have Plan B? If not… give yourself a birthday present and define your Plan B.
