Creating and Living in Prosperity

We hear so much about prosperity lately. We hear even more about a lack of prosperity. The most common definition of prosperity is: “a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition.” It is important to realize that prosperity and abundance includes all conditions of life, not just money and finances.

How to Steps to Prosperity

The best place to begin planning to become more prosperous is to first define your values and determine what prosperity would look like for you within these values. What areas of your life hold the most value and importance for you?
  • Finances
  • Health
  • Family
  • Spirituality
  • Career
  • Community/Friends
  • Hobbies/Recreation/Rest/Relaxation
The next step is an important one. You need to assess your current prosperity and assign a number to each of the values you determined as important. For instance, if you have the recommended six month’s of living expenses set aside in a savings account, have a steady income, as well as reasonable to low debt…but you do not have a college fund established for your children and your income is not where you would like it to be, then you might assign a “prosperity score” of 6, on a 10-point scale. The third step is to put a plan in place (those dreaded goals!) to outline what steps you need to take to move forward in your own prosperity ranking and belief system. Your plan should be written down using specific actions to be taken as well as time frames. Also helpful is the use of action words that hold meaning for you. You must be able to derive excitement and enthusiasm from your goals and for your goals to get your mind focused on accomplishment. Remember, like attracts like, so make everything count! Make sure what you value in life is successful, flourishing, and thriving! Make sure you live a life of prosperity!
