Are You Prepared for Disruptions to Your Industry, Market or Company?
Hey everybody.
Recently a close friend of mine sent me a link to a You Tube video about “Anticipating & Leading Market Disruption.” And, truthfully, I was not totally ready for everything shared in this amazing video.
The key thing is for you – as a leader – to take a long look at what is happening in your own industry & company. How many people are in denial that change is happening at an increasing rate? What processes do you have in place to inspire the use of innovation within your company?
And, if you have innovation happening at a rapid rate, do you have safeguards from the protectors of the old ways of doing things? Have you subjected your business model to a recent “check up?”
I have to share with you that my Business Model of 20+ years broke during and after the Great Recession years. Unfortunately for me, I believed it was a temporary issue and everything would get better in the near future. Which it did not. We have a New Business Model today and it is picking up velocity each day – thankfully.
However, how many people on your staffs are saying the same thing I said three years ago? It will improve soon. Well, the data suggests that it is not working or returning permanently to the old ways. If you sense that it has, then you better expand the scope of your review of the market. Is the Market Changing and you have missed the beginning?
